history
Aqua-Tex Scientific Consulting was established in 1993 to provide consulting services in aquatic ecology. In 1998, the company began the Photopoint Monitoring of Urban Creeks on Southern Vancouver Island Project. The study was conducted during July and August of 1998 in the Capital Regional District urban creeks of Blenkinsop, Colwood and Latoria using a technique called Photopoint Monitoring. The purpose of the project was to modify the photopoint monitoring technique, apply the modified technique to three urban creeks, and to assess the viability of the technique for future urban applications. The project team was supervised by David E. Jensen, and sponsored by the Aqua-Tex scientists, Cori L. Barraclough and William P. Lucey. The photopoint monitoring technique was later applied to Leeds Creek. In 2000, the company participated in a water quality monitoring plan for the Kootenai River Basin.
