The Cenotaph Committee was established in 1936 "to erect a public memorial to the men of Enderby City and District who gave up their lives in the World War". The monument was built for $235 by Vernon Granite and Marble Co. in Okanagan Landing. It was erected on the southwest corner of the lawn in front of City Hall. Subscriptions totalling $242.15 were given by local residents and organizations.

custodial history Records were found in the basement of the City Hall building in 1987, when the Museum Society moved in. It is believed that the records were left at City Hall because the treasurer of the committee was none other than Graham Rosoman, City Clerk.
scope and content Fonds consists of the records of the City of Enderby Cenotaph Fund Committee from 1936-1937. Includes minutes (1936), general correspondence (1936-1937), lists of subscriptions and subscribers (1936-1937), and some financial records (1936).
