The Kelowna Exploration Company Ltd. owned and operated the Nickel Plate Mine at Hedley, B.C., from the 1930s to 1955. The company purchased the mine from the Hedley Gold Mining Company.

The fonds consists of medical certificates, employment applications, inventories, copies of crown grants, correspondence, contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and technical reference material of the Nickle Plate Mine operation at Hedley. Fonds includes plans of various sections of the mine and of water pipelines serving Hedley. Fonds also includes inventory of machinery (1930) of the Hedley Gold Mining Company.
