    Biographical history

Anna Sumpton (nee Laubach) is a long time resident of the North Shore who was involved with numerous community organizations including the North Shore Museum and Archives, Presentation House, North Vancouver Community Arts Council, Capilano Tennis Club, Evergreen Squash Club, North Shore Orienteers, and North Shore Chorus. Through her, records from a number of these organizations have been donated to the North Vancouver Museum and Archives. In the 70s she commenced assisting Walter Draycott on his memoir of Lynn Valley, "Early Days in Lynn Valley". She worked with him extensively over several years to bring a mass of often disorganized material to a publishable form. Most of these records relate to this endeavour. After his death and his willing of his records to the North Vancouver Museum and Archives, Ms. Sumpton completed a finding aid to his records.
