The BC Deep Sea Fishermen's Union received its charter from the Trades and Labour Congress of Canada in 1932. Prior to 1932, the union was part of the International Deep Sea Fishermen's Union of the Pacific, and agreements recorded date back to 1916 with the Fishing Vessel Owners Association of that time. The BC Deep Sea Fishermen's Union helped establish the Prince Rupert Fishermen's Cooperative.
Records were in the custody of Foster Husay.
