        History

Janet Carson was born to Alfred (Karlsson) Carson and Mary Ann Carson (nee Boyd) in 1892 in Quesnel. She was the third child of four. After her mother's death in 1901, Janet, then nine years old, became the housekeeper for the family. She continued this role throughout her life, maintaining the farmhouse as well as the house in town. Janet was a kind, generous person and spent her leisure time with family and friends. She enjoyed poetry, music, nature walks and the occasional trip. Janet was an avid amateur photographer and kept an accurate record of the people and places in her photos. Janet passed away at the age of seventy-one in January, 1963.
