        History

In 2001 Mayor Gordon Dale appointed Judy Fischer and Dee Wejr to co-chair a committee to organize Enderby's centennial events, to be held in the year 2005. They established the foundations for the event (bank account, logo, parade mascots) and held several meetings with local organizations. In the summer of 2004 committee member Bob Cowan took over as chairman of the committee, created an executive committee to make financial decisions, and established regular meetings with the executive and the general centennial committee made up of local organizations. The executive committee organized Enderby's birthday party of March 1, a reception for the unveiling of 'Enderby Centennial', an information booth during the summer activities, the volunteer banquet, and logging sports. They worked with local organizations to coordinate publicity and special needs for centennial events during the summer July 29-August 7, 2005.
