    Biographical history

The Enderby Rockhounds and Natural History group started in October 1969. It was organized under the newly formed Arts Council in Enderby for anyone interested in the collecting of rocks, Indian artifacts, making gemstone jewellery, or in the outdoors. The meetings were held in members' homes. They organized group outtings for rock collection and nature study. The books were closed at the meeting of January 21, 1988. This group organized the building in September 1976 and maintenance of the Canada goose cairn in Barnes Park until it was removed in April 1995.

    Custodial history

Mrs. Ethna Revel collected the minute books and correspondence and donated them to the museum. The scrap book was put together by Ethna Revel from 1973 to 1988. Various rock and sand samples, petrified wood, a gavel and hand-made plaque from the Canada goose cairn that was in Barnes Park were donated at the same time.

    Scope and content

Fonds consists of records kept by members of the Enderby Rockhounds. Includes minute books, which contain financial reports and membership lists, correspondence, clippings, plaque and a scrapbook.
