Biographical history
Ida Madeline (Mattie) Gunterman was a pioneer female amateur photographer who lived in the Arrow Lakes District of B.C. She was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and moved to Seattle around 1890. In 1898, Gunterman and her family moved to Beaton, B.C. Gunterman's photographs have been exhibited across Canada.
