This prestigious Vancouver gallery endeavoured to put Ted Harrison on the international map. An exhibition in Vancouver in 1992 resulted in strong sales and Ted attended Art Asia in Hong Kong in November of that year. Further plans for a touring show in Japan were not realized.

Imagery was produced on various porcelain products by 3778 Yukon Limited trading as Raven Images, #9 Klondike Road, Whitehorse (whose proprietor Dale Stokes also operated Midnight Sun Gallery & Gifts in Whitehorse). The pottery was produced by Viletta China of Mississauga, Ontario. Raven Images, 916 Woodhall Drive, Victoria was a distribution arm of the same enterprise, operated by Irene Davie who was closely involved with TH when he came to Victoria.

File consists of correspondence with AAG Fine Arts, owned by Arnold Gumowitz, managed by Penny Cohen, 421 7th Avenue, New York City. Arnold Gumowitz discovered Harrison at Gold Design in Calgary in 1986. He subsequently bought 5 of Harrison’s paintings and arranged a show in his Madison Avenue gallery. All 42 paintings seem to have been sold, though many of them may have been sold to Gumowitz’s gallery. A further exhibition was planned but did not take place. Correspondence continued until 19 January 1998 but no further shows were noted.

• 23 April 1989: shipped 400 prints and 100 Kobe exhibit posters with 3 paintings to NYC

• 1 February to 31 July 1987: 5,000 copies were sold.
• 1987: “One of the ten best illustrated books of 1987” by the New York Times.

• 2 January 1992: work was underway on O Canada in time for Canada’s 125th anniversary.
