Correspondence, much of it to editor Edward Van Aelstyn, includes letters from Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, Michael McClure, Gary Snyder, Jonathan Williams, Ron Loewinsohn, Clayton Eshleman and Philip Whalen.

The fonds consists of manuscripts, typescripts, and proofs of Io (1-24) and the affiliated publishing house, North Atlantic Books. Correspondence with editors Richard Grossinger and Lindy Hough include that from Clayton Eshleman, Theodore Enslin, Robert Kelly, and David Wilk. Fonds includes some financial records.
