Includes a copy of the Colonial Settlers Records from 1852-1871, copied from the B.C. Archives; sketches from Harper's Weekly, the London Illustrated News and the Illustrated B.C. News (1858-1888), newspaper articles dealing with Chinese history; copied maps and diagrams of Lytton and area; 162 photographs (1858-1984) including local natives, Alphonse Hautier, Globe Hotel, Indian placer mines, St. George's Indian Residential School, and railroad scenes. There is also one copy of the first newspaper published in Victoria in the Chinese language, 1858, one locally hand-done native poster, and Boy Scouts of Canada charter for St. George's Indian Residential School.

Five slides of Niakia River rafting and one of Jade Springs from the air. Also 4 maps: one is a sketch of the homes on the westside of the Fraser from Lytton to Lillooet, one is a weather map (1954), and one is a 1952 survey map showing all rivers, creeks, mountains, reserves from Pavilion to Kamloops and from Douglas Lake to Keefers.

Fandrich, Bernie, 1945-The fonds consists of Captain Mist's personal log of the HMS Sparrowhawk, 1868-1872, including correspondence to Admiralty as well as testimonials by native Indians on the Northwest coast. Fonds includes log of the HMS Havannah (1855-1859) in the Pacific Station. Mist was aboard as a Lieutenant.

The correspondence series consists primarily of the personal views of Dr. Cole on matters of historical scholarship, university affairs and his own career as a professor. A few letters were made or received by Dr. Cole in his capacity as a University employee performing his official duties –– for example, marking students' work and providing reference letters. Fonds also includes some unpublished articles, conference papers, research notes and lectures.

Carnation Creek Community History ProjectThe collection consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings on the Riel Rebellion, including several maps and political cartoons. Also included are three loose clippings regarding Helen's father,1857; Fish Creek casualties, 1935; and an obituary of her youngest brother, 1954. Most clippings are undated, and the source not noted. The clippings are pasted into a copy of Canada Under the National Policy. The volume is inscribed, "Helen Christie, April 4th 1875."

The French Bay programmes include class photographs for two years. The scrapbook contains some loose material and is in poor condition.

Roe, Frank GilbertThe fonds consists of research files for his private consulting work, with some material by colleagues and students from the Centre for Public Sector Studies mixed in. Most of the files contain photocopies of studies and submission by native bands and organizations, government documents and reports, journal articles, brochures, and clippings. Many have been originally marked as attachments, but some of the number sequences are no longer complete. There are very few holograph markings or notes, and hardly any manuscript material.
