Entries in the back of the book, dated 1928, record the breeding and calving of cows and sows on Hazelmere ranch. Fonds also includes one letter written by George Heggie to Ernie Syrme, 1944, where he explains his reasons for moving to Victoria and recounts memories of their experiences on the Stepney & L & A Ranch.
