The labour contracts also describe agreements between the Canadian Fishing Company and members of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union governing hours of work, wages and fish prices. The minutes are those describing the establishment of the Gulf of Georgia Canning Company in 1894. The most complete records are those of the operation of the reduction plant from the 1940s to the 1970s.
