Series consists of records arising from the first phase of the Heritage Inventory Project conducted by the Delta Heritage Advisory Commission. The series is arranged into five subseries, each containing case files identified according to the function of the structure or area inventoried. These include: residential, religious, institutional, and commercial buildings, as well as conservation areas. Case files created in 1979 contain copies of Canadian Inventory of Historical Building forms, research materials such as copies of newspaper clippings and archival records, and photographs of the buildings. Subsequent files created in the later stage of the project (1982) are less comprehensive. The series also contains a subseries of administrative records such as Canadian Inventory of Historical Building forms, minutes, correspondence, and ephemeral material. A publication entitled "Delta Heritage Report" includes the Project's historical background, its purposes and methodologies, and the final inventory of heritage buildings and sites.

Series consists of the records received by Edgar Dunning as a member of the executive of the Delta Centennial (1979) Committee, which planned the projects and celebrations for the District Municipality of Delta centenary in 1979; the Local Centennial Celebration Committee which planned activities to mark Canada's 100th Birthday in 1967; and the Centennial '71 Committee, which was the local planning committee for the British Columbia Centennial in 1971. Records include meeting agendas and minutes, memoranda, correspondence, and promotional material.

Series consists of the field notes, theses, and reports created by Ernie Taylor in the course of his university education at the University of British Columbia, and work as a wildlife biologist and game manager in British Columbia. The series includes copies of Mr. Taylor's Bachelor of Arts thesis and Master of Arts thesis on pheasants in the Lower Fraser Valley, which were submitted to the Department of Zoology, UBC, in 1948 and 1950. The reports included in this series, many including his work done on pheasants, were written by Mr. Taylor as an employee with the B.C. Game Commission, 1950 to 1965. The series also includes a report on wildlife and recreation in Delta written by Mr. Taylor for the Canadian Wildlife Service in 1970.

Series consists of diaries written by Mr. Christopherson to record the daily total hours worked by himself and employees of the Boundary Bay plant, the amount of product processed, weather, and work done to manage the oyster beds. The diaries also record Mr. Christopherson's trips to other osyter operations at Comox, Pendrell Sounds, Ladysmith Harbour, among others.

Series consists of log books recording the daily operation of tug boats used in the B.C. Packers' oyster operation, mainly the M.V. East Delta, M.V. E.F.N., Togo No. 1, and M.V. Jervis Queen. Major contents include destination and time on each course, weather conditions and nature of work. The boats were largely used to tow scows loaded with oysters tot eh plant in Delta, and to position empty scows over the oyster beds. At low tide the empty scows would land near the beds to which the workers would walk and harvest the oysters. Full scows were then floated back to the plant. The "East Delta" was used by Mr. Christoperhson to travel to other oyster operations, and became a second home for John and Grace after the closure of the plant in Boundary Bay.

File contains a small day book written by T. W. Forrest with daily entries recording expenses, income and events between 1877 and 1880. T.W. (Wesley?) Forrest was the father of Irene Forrest who was Lester Embree's first wife and Ivan embree's grandfather. Mr. Forrest farmed in Nova Scotia, where the day book may have been written, and at an unknown date moved to New Westminster.

The series consists of receipts and invoices received by J.W. Fraser, including a three page invoice from Lanning, Fawcett and Wilson, 1917, that lists groceries, women's and men's clothing items, and cheesecloth and wallpaper used for covering walls inside homes. The records also include invoices for taxes from Delta Municipality, and Delta Dyking and Drainage Scheme, on Lots 158 to 161, dated November 15, 1909.
