In addition, the fonds includes recordings of interviews conducted on behalf of the Alma Mater society relating to its art collection. Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by Martha A. Kenny, including correspondence; family photographs and documents, an autograph album (1886), booklet of favourite quotations, a diary, drafts and manuscripts of historical writings including "Notes on Early Days in Nanaimo", "Some of Nanaimo's Early Buildings" transcripts of Cornelius Bryant's journal and letters, numerous articles written by Beth Greenwood and a catalogue of her collection of Indian artifacts. Fonds also includes six scrapbooks, primarily of clippings of historical events but also including one of seaweed specimens and one of dried flowers.

Since Sono Nis was taken over by Morriss Printing in 1976, all archival records have been retained. Current records (approximately 1989 to 1993) include editorial files, production files, association files, awards and promotions information, and financial records. The archival records (1976 to approximately 1988) include financial records, editorial files, production files, and correspondence. All art work, design work, and printing plates for every book have been retained in the fonds along with two copies of each book published by Sono Nis Press.

The fonds consists of records from three distinct sources: the Leonard Frank Photo Studio, the Frank family , and the Landauer family. The records of Leonard Frank Photo Studio constitute those that remained after the closure of the business in 1983. They consist of photographs and textual records. The photographs cover many significant events and developments in British Columbia's history. Their major subject areas include logging, lumbering, mining, fishing and transportation; the construction of bridges and buildings in the Vancouver area; famous people; aboriginal peoples; and scenic views of mountainous, coastal, and urban areas. The photographs were taken by Leonard Frank and Otto Landauer. The textual records consist of photographic FindingAids, business correspondence, financial records, and historical and reference material. The records of the Frank family consist of the personal papers of Leonard and Bernard Frank. The records of the Landauer family consist of the personal papers of Otto Landauer and members of his family.

Many of the sketches within this notebook consist of plans for sculptural work; there are detailed diagrams outlining the construction of a hinged pyramid, rainbow sculpture, and a mirror and plywood sculpture. These sketches along with many others within this item are accompanied by notes and dimensions of the diagrams.
