Records reflect the planning and preparatory stages of publications, book advertisement, and sales. Records include several Colophon Books chap books and broadsides, printed and illustrated by Jim Rimmer of Pie Tree Press, BC. Records are arranged into two series: Subject files and Publication files.
McIntosh, JimFonds consists of manuscripts, page proofs, editorial and general correspondence, contracts, promotional and biographical materials. Included in the fonds are archival materials for Vi Plotnikoff's Head Cook at Wedding and Funerals (1994), first collection of Doukhobor short stories published and the first widely published literary writings by a Doukhobor woman, and George Elliott Clarke's poem-novel Whylah Falls (1990), later adapted for the stage and film, along with materials related to the publication of other works in Polestar's catalogue.

Van Dyke StudiosThe collection consists of six series of papers, photographs and artefacts amassed by the Morishita family. The first series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the patriarch of the family, Teiji Morishita. The second series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to Teiji's wife, Sawa Morishita. The third series consists of papers and artefacts amassed while the Morishitas (with the Ebisuzakis) ran the Ebisuzaki Shoten (store) at 337 Powell Street in Vancouver, BC. The fourth series consists of family photographs and artefacts belonging to the Morishita family. The fifth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Morishita children. And the sixth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Ebisuzaki family.
The collection consists of two series. The first series consists of family photographs and the second series is an interview of Mitsue Fugeta (nee Sasaki) discussing her life on Powell Street in Vancouver, BC.
Sasaki (family)The fonds consists of photographs of businesses, panoramas, streets, people, and events in Vancouver, B.C. Many of the photographs were taken by Percy Bentley.
Dominion Photo CompanyThe fonds comprises the business records of Sharp & Thompson – later Thompson, Berwick, Pratt & Partners – dating from 1912 to 1974. The records consist of signed contracts, specifications, minutes, correspondence, quotations, financial statements, reports, signed Forms of Tender, memoranda, photographs and architectural drawings. They document the planning for and construction of the University of British Columbia buildings designed and overseen by the architectural firm, and also document the architectural firm's activities on buildings in Vancouver, the province of British Columbia and elsewhere. Some of the files represent unsuccessful bids on jobs. There are original, blueprint and ozalid architectural drawings in this collection. The drawings of University buildings consist mainly of original drawings and blueprints. The drawings of buildings in Vancouver and elsewhere are few in number and are mostly ozalid reproductions.
