Anderson family fonds

The fonds consists of miscellaneous correspondence and documents regarding the use of fish tokens by the Quathiaski Canning Co., business license and other supporting documentation of the Quathiaski Canning Company, and a series of photographs which feature a selection of views of the Quathiaski Canning Company operations, Quadra Island and members of the Anderson family and their homes in Vancouver and Quathiaski Cove.

The fonds consists of 124 leather notebooks documenting surveys for pre-emptions, mining claims, timber claims, etc. Also included in the notebooks are notes pertaining to Drabble's involvement with the school board, detailed accounts of his trading activities with the local First Nations (of particular note is the care and attention that he took in both phonetically deciphering the names of the individual natives and identifying the reserve that they were affiliated with), accounts of construction of churches, roads, etc. Each notebook covers a variety of topics and locations. Also included with the notebooks are a number of maps, pamphlets, certificates and correspondence to Drabble
