Series consists of annual audited financial statements presented by the Treasurer at the annual general meeting. They are, like the executive reports, intimately linked to the minutes of the executive meetings, but were maintained as a distinct set of papers. There are also some earlier balance sheets contained within the series of Reports presented at the Annual General Meetings.

Series contains artifactual materials collected and retained by John Edwin Loucks that are evidence of his civic pride and which held symbolic meaning for him. The items contained in this series mostly relate to the City of North Vancouver. Artifacts in this series consist of small hand-held flags, buttons, coins and City and District seals.

Series consists of bound copies of the published journals of the British Columbia Mountaineering Club. The journal was originally titled 'The Northern Cordilleran' but was later changed to 'B.C. Mountaineer'. Series contains copies of the journal, copies of the special centennial journal of 2009, as well as a two volume index to the 'B.C. Mountaineer' and other BCMC publications.

Series documents John Edwin Loucks' activities and accomplishments in his personal life from his student years in the 1940s until shortly after his retirement in 1999. Series consists of files regarding annual summer camps, including the George Wallis summer camps at Garibaldi, other camps, trips and expeditions, including Mt. Waddington (1936) and Mt. Fairweather (1958), as well as minutes and papers of the Climbing Committee of the BCMC. Series also contains moving images of various summer camps (1950-1958) and films and DVDs of various trips - mainly ski mountaineering (1950s-1997).

The Canadian Alpine Journal is a publication of the Alpine Club of Canada. While not a record of the BCMC, the journals have been included in the fonds of the BCMC in order to facilitate their retrieval. They contain numerous submissions by BCMC members and will be of interest to anyone researching the history of mountaineering in British Columbia and in Canada more generally. They have not been listed individually but the series consists of loose copies of the journal (1907-2000), digitized copies of the journal (1907-2010), plus an index to the journal for the period 1907-1966.

Series consists of cash receipt books which record mainly the receipt of cash payments of annual membership dues. This makes the series useful for identifying members at a time when there are relatively few other membership records.

Series documents one of John Edwin Loucks' mayoral responsibilities: appearing at civic ceremonies. Photographs and slides in this series depict Loucks bestowing and accepting awards and delivering speeches. There is very little available information from the records about the events themselves. Records contained in this series also include some handwritten notes and a plaque.

Series consists of material created in order to commemorate the club's centennial in 2007. Includes publicity material, information regarding the centennial banquet, minutes of the Centennial Committee, as well as production material, masters and copies of the centennial video 'Passion for the Mountains: 100 years of exploration and preservation of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia 1907-2007' (BCMC, 2007).

Series documents John Edwin Loucks' involvement in numerous associations, societies and community activities from the 1940s until the early twenty-first century. Loucks was especially active in the North Shore Community Concerts' Association. Records in this series consist of meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, events programmes, invitations and honour certificates. Records in the series are arranged according to organization and form of documents.

Series documents sports, high school, cultural and church events held in the City of North Vancouver from the 1960s until 2000. Records in this series consist of flyers, calendars, directories and events programmes. Records are arranged according to category of event.

Series consists of files regarding the BCMC's efforts in conservation, including briefs on outdoor management, information on early conservation efforts, information and reports regarding various wilderness sites both by members of the BCMC and as representatives of the FMCBC, proposals for parks and protected areas in the Garibaldi area and Mt. Seymour, the Tricouni and Chilliwack Valley areas as well as the Stoltmann Wilderness, Pinecone Lake-Burke Mountain, and Bischoff Lakes areas. In 1938 Harbottle’s Jersey Products purchased a new Diamond T 1-ton pickup truck as a new delivery vehicle. Jeffery Harbottle personally travelled to Chicago to pick up the vehicle and drive it back home to North Vancouver. The truck continued to be used after the business was sold in 1942. In 1971 collector Dennis Montgomery rescued the vehicle from a scrapyard and displayed it with other antique vehicles at Expo 86, where it came to Jeffery Harbottle’s attention. When cleaning up the vehicle Dennis had discovered a set of Harbottle dairy milk bottle caps under the seats, confirming that it was the same truck Jeffery had driven back from Chicago 44 years earlier. In 1991 Jeffery acquired the the truck from Dennis and began a process of restoring the truck to its 1938 state. The process was completed by 1999 and the truck was donated to the NVMA in 2003. This series contains materials related to the original truck, such as manuals and original photographs, as well as a materials related to the rediscovery, restoration, display, and donation of the truck.
