The 1934 British Empire Games were the second of what is now known as the Commonwealth Games. They were held at the White City Stadium in London, England from August 4–11, 1934, apart from the cycling at Fallowfield Stadium, Manchester, and the swimming, which took place at the Empire Pool in Wembley. Seventeen national teams took part, including the Irish Free State.This series consists of photographs, programmes, a certificate, correspondence, and miscellaneous items related to the 1934 British Empire Games.

Noel Oxenbury participated at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany. She competed for the 100 metre backstroke event, but was eliminated the first round. This series consists of newspaper clippings, photographs, speech, and correspondence related to the 1936 Olympics.

Noel Oxenbury competed at the 1938 British Empire Games in Sydney and won a gold medal in the 4×110 yard freestyle relay alongside Phyllis Dewar, Dorothy Lyon, and Mary Baggaley. She also placed fourth in the 3×110 yard medley relay with Baggaley and Joan Langdon and competed in the 110 yard backstroke. Due to the onset of World War II, the games were not held again until 1950.This series consists of newspaper clippings, photographs, a diary, and miscellaneous items related to her participation at the 1938 British Empire Games.

Series consists of reports created by the New Westminster Local Council of Women in order to record their annual meetings. The content of these reports include individual activity reports by the president, secretaries, and various committees, financial reports, and law and safety reports. The reports also contain lists of the elected members of the Council, and information on events that happened during the previous year. Copies of the reports were also created in order to provide them to the National Council of Women of Canada. There is also a folder of miscellaneous reports created by the Local Council on many different subjects, such as resolutions, reports from smaller committees, and reports created for other levels of the Council of Women.

eries consists of records that pertain to the architectural specifications of the Westminster Trust Building. They document the proposed electrical alterations to the Westminster Trust Building. There is also a partial floor plan of the ground floor. Series contains two blueprints.

Series consists of four volumes containing records created while recording the names of attendants to New Westminster Local Council of Women functions. A single volume (1932 – 74) entitled Visitors, recording the attendants of various Local Council of Women functions, including meetings, teas, receptions, and anniversaries. Three volumes (1922 – 28, 1927 – 32, 1940 – 41) entitled Roll Book, which record the names of groups of women and their attendance to meetings. The groups recorded include presidents of different organizations, executive officers of the Council, affiliated societies and delegates, Loyal True Blue, YWCA, ladies aids, and others.

Parts of film shot by Norman are scenes of a trip to Yellowstone National Park, the New Westminster Hyack Anvil Battery, family scenes and a trip to Grand Coulee Dam. Parts of film purchased by Norman include multiple 1920s Hollywood short clips on various topics.

These films feature scenes and short films that have been commercially produced that Norman Lidster purchased over the years. The films appear to feature scenes that have been shot between the 1910s to 1950s. Most films are travel videos featuring views of multiple towns, cities, and countries around the world. Other films are types of news reels featuring British royal weddings, royal visits and coronations (Also featuring coronation of a Maharaja). Also featured are scenes from the First World War with T.E. Lawrence and Field Marshal Allenby. Furthermore, some films feature stories of various themes.

Series consists of “common program” records. A common program was an official meeting to which the public was invited to hear a speaker presenting on a specific topic. Each instance of common program contains different types of records, including correspondence, outlines of programs, expenses, and transcripts from the speakers. Topics included are Reproductive Technology and Homelessness.

This series contains records primarily relating to the family's involvement in various community organizations. This includes Nina Chapman's involvement with various Parent Teacher Associations and the Pythian Sisters, the Marcia Atkinson's membership in the Ancient Order of the Foresters and The Odd Fellows, and Nina and Harry's roles in the Sapperton Pensioner's Association. The series contains meeting notes, newsletters, reports, membership cards, handbooks, correspondence, conference and convention programs, and a scrapbook. The series includes 5 sub-series: Parent Teacher Associations, Pythian Sisters, Ancient Order of the Foresters, Odd Fellows, and Sapperton Pensioner's Association.

Series consists of one volume and one folder of correspondence created by the New Westminster Local Council of Women. The correspondence volume, which is from a much earlier date (1898 – 1923) contains hand-written copies of letters sent to people by the Council, as well as the replies. The folder is of a more contemporary nature (1970 – 1985), and contains typed carbon copies of correspondence. The range of subjects discussed in the correspondence is very wide, encompassing everything from formal invitations to tea to concerns regarding orphans. Near the end of the volume, the content of letters received is no longer copied, only the sender and a vague subject are retained.

Series consists of items of an ephemeral nature including a copy of the roll of recipients for The Good Citizen Metal published by the Native Sons of B.C., Tillicum, a copy of the Pioneers of Vancouver, Here Before the Train, published by the Vancouver Archives, a collection of poems entitled, Gems, by Billy Browne.

Series consists of records that pertain to the business and personal activities of the subjects of the files. Each estate file has its own unique collection of records. The original provenance of these records was the subjects of the files. Subsequently these records were used by another party in the course of settling these subjects’ estates. Series contains three boxes of files. These files include deeds, correspondence, invoices, receipts, insurance policies, investment certificates, contracts, indentures, and other records. The series includes several files pertaining to early Sikh residents.

Series consists of a book on the genealogy of the Homer name, published in 1889, several drafts of a typewritten document entitled "Memories of My Early Childhood Days in New Westminster, B.C." The document includes a description of the Bushby House, interactions with First Nation members, and Sir John A. Macdonald's visit to New Westminster of 1886. There is also a Christmas Greetings card, and notes written presumably by Ethel Louise.

Series consists of records created by the family and unrelated to business. Items include a World War Two ration booklet, a passport, a scrapbook commemorating the 1939 royal visit, and a will for a Richard Turner dated 1874.

Series consists of records created while managing the finances of the New Westminster Local Council of Women. Two volumes (1921 – 47, 1947 – 60), entitled Treasurer’s Book, record received funds, expenditures, and disbursements. Along with this is a file containing receipts and cheque books, dated early 1960s, from both the Local Council as well as other organizations. There is also a folder containing a financial report from 1983, giving an idea of their expenditures as well as proposed budget.

Series consists of a ledger belonging to the Corbould family that records business transactions between Gordon Charleson Corbould and companies for insurance. The ledger contains a full description of Gordon's life, including all the details of his birth. This can be found on page 200.

These films have been shot and edited by Norman Lidster. Films feature a variety of subjects and themes. Many films feature scenes shot from Lidster's trips across British Columbia, Eastern Canada and the United States. Many present scenes of his family and different New Westminster celebrations including, opening of the Queenborough Bridge, opening of Irving House as a museum, scenes with the Governor-General Vincent Massey, May Days, and royal visits: 1939, 1951, 1959. Some videos might have been filmed by the Springate family, although this has not been confirmed. This series has been further sub-divided into a series (A.1) featuring only films depicting May Day (some parts on these May Day films do have subjects other then May Day and are clearly indicated).
