Sub-series is comprised of correspondence, promotional material and other records related to lectures, workshops and discussions programmed or co-presented by the VHEC. Events are programmed for audiences of adults, including teachers, members of the Jewish community, other cultural groups and the wider public.

The fonds consists of biographical material (1993-2012), copies of Thornton's thesis (1967) and dissertation (1971), copies of his papers (published and unpublished), books, reports and reprints, as well as audio/visual material.
Included in the biographical material is a self-published autobiography, entitled "Telling My Life Story - ... a journey of discovery".

Sub-series consists of administrative records, promotional materials, catalogues and black-and-white print photographs of Holocaust survivors related to the Faces of Survival exhibition, which ran from June 2018 to August 2019 at the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.

Sub-sub-series consists of records generated and accumulated as a result of the VHEC’s organization of the Kristallnacht commemorative event in Vancouver, held annually in early November. Kristallnacht, or the “Night of Broken Glass,” was a state-sponsored pogrom the night of November 9th, 1938; hundreds of synagogues in Germany and Austria were burned, Jewish-owned businesses were destroyed, nearly 100 Jews were killed and 30,000 men were sent to concentration camps. The mandate of the Kristallnacht Commemorative Program Committee was: to produce an informative, educational lecture that helps the community gain a deeper understanding of the events of the Holocaust, its implication for society and on the community, to bring in leading scholars, writers, researchers and thinkers who would not otherwise be heard in the community, and to foster dialogue by informing the community about the history of the Holocaust.

Records in sub-series were generated by volunteer members of the Kristallnacht Commemorative Program Committee and by VHEC staff. They include promotional materials, participant lists, press releases, instructions to candle-lighters, newspaper clippings, correspondence, meeting minutes, budgets, transcripts of speeches and notes.

The fonds consists of 49 small artworks (originals and prints), including two bound volumes "The Artistry of Avis Rasmussen" and related printed materials ; one acrylic on canvas painting ; and one sketchbook.

Fonds consists of documentation supporting Amalia Boe Fishman’s application to Yad Vashem’s Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority to have Fishman’s foster family, the Spiekhouts, recognized as Righteous Among the Nations, and one letter and photographs belonging to the van Kreveld family of Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. Fonds is arranged into three series: Correspondence and Spiekhout album (1942–2009), Family photographs (1930–1999) and My War Story website documents (2007–2018).

The Women's Bookstore collection consists of materials relating to the operation of several Vancouver women's organizations and reflects the issues that dominated the women's movement throughout the 1970s. Consistent with the community based nature of women's movements during this period, the scope and content of the collection reflects the diversity common to a phenomenon rather than the administrative and subject coherence found in records generated by a single organization. As such, the collection as whole gains its coherence due primarily to the interdependence rather than independence of the individual items to one another. This also applies to the records generated by autonomous organizations in the collection. While the different organizations should be regarded as distinct, a good deal of the records concern the communication between various organizations and women's groups across the country or identify issues of concern to a broad range of organizations. Thus, the collection as whole should be regarded as a record of a dynamic process in which a common ideology served to unify the aims of distinctive organizations, persons, and subjects.

The collection is comprised of the records of the Women's Bookstore, Women's Caucus, A Woman's Place, Transition House, the British Columbia Federation of Women and the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery. Includes constitutions, minutes, reports, correspondence, position papers, and sound recordings. Also includes newsletters from women's centres across British Columbia and Canada, subject files, and an assortment of feminist publications.

The collection consists of an undated, handwritten letter to Mr. Thornton.

The fonds consists of a copy of Ronald Moyes' interview with Veteran's Affairs on CD; handwritten narrative by Ronald Moyes titled "Coquitlam in the 30s and Beyond"; copy of "Coming Home...on a Wing and a Prayer" booklet written by Ronald Moyes; photographs; order of service for Blue Mountain Union Chruch; and newspaper clippings.

The fonds consists of records which document William New's publications, lectures, and other activities between 1947 and 2018. Most of the series are based on published works written or edited by New. The remaining records relate to other projects, prizes, awards, papers, conferences, correspondence, or professional interests. Collectively, these records reflect New's various roles as professor, public speaker, editor, author, and poet.

Fonds is comprised of photographs, certificates, identity and repatriation cards, correspondence and photocopies of administrative records. Records pertain to the experiences of the Vanry family during the Holocaust in France. Fonds also includes photographs and a speech created as a result of Serge Vanry’s participation in a ceremony honouring his rescuers, René and Marguerite Poignard of Neuvy-en-Sullias, held in France in 2018.

Fonds is arranged into the following two series: Family records ([1942 or 1943]–1945, 2018) and Photographs (1940–[circa 1945]; 2018).

This series consists of records that were original personal fonds and collections acquired and preserved by the Riverview Hospital Historical Society's during its existence. It contains the personal collections of nurses, doctors, general staff, British Columbia's first Provincial Botanist, and a patient at Riverview Hospital. Each file includes records such as study notes, photographs, ephemera, correspondence, newspaper clippings and pamphlets.

The series consists of 15 files, each corresponding to its original creator or donor: Ken Baker, Loretta Barnet, Ultan Patrick Byrne, Jean Campbell, Edna Colvin, John Davidson, Sheila Dumore, William Headridge, Alyce Hockin, Lois Kaldestad, Catherine Murray, Judy Pendry, Dorothy Pocock, Hazel Shepard, and Georgina Bernice Petty.

The series consists of copies of the Tri-City News from 1990 to 2018 printed and bound in large volumes, arranged by month and year. The series also includes microfilmed copies of the Tri-City News from 1985 and 1986, as well as microfilmed copies of the Maple Ridge News (1985-1986) and the Sunday News (1985). Finally, the series includes several loose special editions in print form.

The series consists of the Annual Reports, Statements of Financial Information, and Consolidated Financial Statements for 1992 to 2018. The Annual Reports vary slightly throughout the years but generally include a civic directory, a message from the Mayor, a Treasurer's report, an Auditor's report, maps, photographs, an organization chart, and financial statements. For the years 1994 to 2002, and 2008-2009 the series includes the Annual Report and a separate Statement of Financial Information. For the years 2010-2013 the series includes Consolidated Financial Statements.

The fonds consists of annual reports, newsletters, and correspondence related to awards ceremonies of the Educational Foundation.

Fonds consists of records relating to Jim Taylor’s writing, editing, and broadcasting work, as well as his liaison with colleagues and family members. Fonds comprises the following record series: Correspondence – JAFT to WST (1945-1998); Published articles and resources (1967-2006); Early writings (1959-1980); Personal correspondence (1966-1986); Academic writings (1958-1967); Newsletters (1984-1994); Regular newspaper columns (1996-2018); Manuscripts for monographs (1996-2001); Reference: books written or edited by James Taylor (1981-2010). Documentary forms include correspondence, research notes, interview transcripts, draft and published versions of magazine articles, play scripts, and full manuscripts of books. Also included is a copy of each published book.

The Riverview Hospital Historical Society collection consists of the records collected and maintained by the Riverview Hospital Historical Society (RHHS). Through their museum and library, the RHHS acquired and stewarded records documenting the history of Riverview Hospital, the British Columbia School of Psychiatric Nursing, and the history of psychiatric care in British Columbia.

The collection consists of a range of documentary forms, including: reports, theses, newspaper clippings, newsletters, publications, correspondence, manuals, plans and drawings, directories, inventories, procedures, programmes, annuals, invitations, motion pictures, personal narratives, staff lists, minutes, study notes, scrapbooks, ephemera, and photographs depicting aspects of social and administrative life at the hospital and school.

The collection is arranged into ten series that reflect original collections maintained by the RHHS, and are organized by media type or content. See the Arrangement note below for more information.

The subseries consists of copies of the Tri-City News from 1990 to 2018 printed and bound in large volumes, arranged by month and year. The subseries also includes microfilmed copies of the Tri-City News from 1985 and 1986, as well as several loose copies of special editions of the Tri-City News.

Sous-Fonds consists of audio recordings of speeches, narration of Swiftsure races, music tracks for Thespian productions, and oral history interviews conducted by H. Golby for history of Swiftsure book and by T. Resken for "A Century of Sailing."

Fonds consists of the annual Swiftsure race packages including promotional material, correspondence, media orientation information, programs and notices of events, participant lists, safety information, and general instructions.
