Includes General administration records, including Constitution, Canons and Act of incorporation, Provincial Synod Journal of Proceedings, and Election and Consecration documents; records of the Metropolitan; records of Synod boards and committees, namely Provincial Council, Archives Advisory Committee, Committee on Provincial Structures and Mission, Executive Committee, Provincial Board of Missions to Orientals, Social Concerns Committee, Ministry Committee, Provincial Executive Council, Parish and Diocesan Concerns Committee, Advisory Committee on Postulants for Ordination (ACPO), Committee on Indian Work, Committee on Provincial Strategy, British Columbia Centennial Church Extension Fund, Provincial Consultation on the Church and Youth. Includes also records of diocesan organizations, institutions and missionary societies which contributed to the development and expansion of Anglican Church in British Columbia and to the theological education of its members (Anglican Theological College of British Columbia, British Columbia and Yukon Church Society, Columbia Coast Mission, British Columbia Anglican Youth Movement, Lytton Mission, Sorrento Centre). Includes personal records of individuals who played a role in the religious life of the province or in various supporting activities at the provincial or national level. Includes also collections of graphic and reference material which provide a valuable support documentation to the original holdings. Includes a collection of periodicals issued by national and diocesan Anglican bodies or missionary societies from their creation to the current date. Diocesan titles include: Columbia Mission Annual Reports (1859-1883), The Parish Magazine (1884-1886), The Churchman's Gazette and New Westminster Diocesan Chronicle (1883-1892). Periodicals include also various titles published by a missionary support committee in England (1889-1894) such as: New Westminster Quarterly Paper, New Westminster Occasional Paper, Monthly Record, Work for the Far West, as well as missionary society publications: Proceedings of the Church Missionary Society, The Mission Field (ca. 1860 to ca. 1920).

Fonds consists of minutes, reports, letterbooks, printed material, clippings, photographs, and cartographic records. Of particular significance, is the series of General Secretary's letterbooks which documents the main period of the Society's influence and activity up to 1940. Includes some records of predecessor missionary societies, namely, annual reports of Columbia Mission and minutes of New Westminster and Kootenay Missionary Association; B.C.Y.C.A.S. annual reports and yearbooks; minutes of the Executive Committee, Theological Education Committee, and reports of the New Westminster Diocesan Committee. Collections of periodicals, books, maps and photographs, in main, constituted the Society's library and thus functioned as an information source on the Church of England in B.C. as well as B.C. in general from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century. Information on the Church and the Society's activities was regularly disseminated through the Society's official magazine, "Across the Rockies". Copies of the "North British Columbia Coast News", published by the Caledonia Missionary Union, also are contained in the collections.

Collection consists of H.P.K. Skipton's manuscript "The Life of George Hills, first Bishop of British Columbia" with annotations, introduction and notes by Archbishop H.E. Sexton, and related correspondence; historical typed and printed material. Includes the printed Sermon preached by Bishop Hills at the farewell service celebrated before his departure (1859), as well as the tenth annual report of the Columbia Mission (1868); includes also the typed copy of "The early days of the Church of England on the Pacific Slope" by Walter N. Sage [s.d.]
