Documents include German identification papers, prisoner's autographs with photographs and newsclippings reportings the events surrounding the Weser's capture. Fonds also includes autographs of officers and crew of the German freighter Hermonthis intercepted by the HMCS Prince Henry, as well as a list of Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy ships which visited Esquimalt, 1845-1939. Fonds includes photographs of the MS Weser, photographs taken by German prisoners-of-war of views of Colombia, gliders and themselves, and photographs of Esquimalt, HMCS Prince Robert, interned Japanese fishing vessels and the RMS Queen Elizabeth.
