(Leonard Alfred George), 1896-1958The collection consists of two letters from the poet to George and Florence Noyes concerning his preparation of foreign language dictionaries for the U.S. Army and two from Patty Bacon (wife) on personal matters. All the correspondence is from 1941, the year Leonard Bacon won the Pulitzer prize. Also included is a clipping (obit of Martha Bacon, ie. “Patty”) from 1967.

Russell, Lawrence, 1941-The collection consists of a typed, signed letter to Alan Marlowe, on behalf of City Light Books. In the letter, Ferlinghetti refers to his trip to New Mexico and the “hippie” situation there. He also requests him to send copies of his books “Huncke's Journal” and “Love Poems From The Middle Latin”, as they are running out of copies. He refers to Timothy Leary's “1000 Prayers” and requests him to send as many as possible.
Ferlinghetti, LawrenceThe collection consists of correspondence from Durrell to Alfred Perlès, William Woods, John Lehmann, Peter Russell, Tambimuttu (LD's notes on Dylan Thomas in the form of a letter), and others; also included are a corrected proof of "Balthazar"(sent to Perlès); a sketch (1959) by Eve Miller of Henry Miller, Alfred Perlès and Durrell; and, a watercolour by "Oscar Epfs" (pseud. of L. Durrell) done for a record sleeve "Songs of Greece" plus a Xmas card reproduced from the painting in 1964. Alfred Perlès later changed his name to Alfred Barret, and was often addressed by Durrell and Miller as Joe or Joey in their letters to him.

These include exterior and interior renderings of plans and designs for work produced in both Europe and in China. The architectural collection consists of works by Hudec and two other unknown authors. The work of Hudec is transcribed in English, German and Chinese characters. The work of the unknown authors is transcribed in Hungarian and German. There are also 2 boxes of textual records including notes, notebooks, photo albums, documents, letters, memos, scrapbooks, photos, legal records, rare journals, and newspapers clippings.

Sincerely, Langston Hughes, New York, April 28, 1967.”

Covin, KellyThe fonds consists of holograph correspondence written primarily to his mother from the trenches and war front in Europe, together with a typescript transcription of the letters; a photograph of Macgowan with (apparently) two members of his battalion; programme for a Brussels Ball; clippings; and 11 maps used by Macgowan to direct his troops in battle. Also included are aerial photographs of three regions of north-west France together with a map of north-west France (Denain region). Some of the photographs have holograph additions to them, largely for the purpose of identification of towns or other significant features.

Also included are photocopies of Gooch's handwritten journal comprised of "A 'free run' in the balloon 'Vivid'" [October 18th 1909, 31 l.]. This account was published in The Malahat Review No. 11, 1969; and "Protagonists", his account of moving the artillery battery, of which he was the commanding officer, from England to Salonica and through the campaign there until his discharge [Oct 1915- Dec 1918, 131 l.]
