Minutes of meetings

Consists of the original minutes of the Delta Agricultural Society's board meetings and general meetings from 1888 to 1994. Includes names of elected officers, motions, some financial statements for the later years, etc.

Delta Heritage Inventory Survey - Phase One series

Series consists of records arising from the first phase of the Heritage Inventory Project conducted by the Delta Heritage Advisory Commission. The series is arranged into five subseries, each containing case files identified according to the function of the structure or area inventoried. These include: residential, religious, institutional, and commercial buildings, as well as conservation areas. Case files created in 1979 contain copies of Canadian Inventory of Historical Building forms, research materials such as copies of newspaper clippings and archival records, and photographs of the buildings. Subsequent files created in the later stage of the project (1982) are less comprehensive. The series also contains a subseries of administrative records such as Canadian Inventory of Historical Building forms, minutes, correspondence, and ephemeral material. A publication entitled "Delta Heritage Report" includes the Project's historical background, its purposes and methodologies, and the final inventory of heritage buildings and sites.

Political campaign and poetry of Bud Osborn

Series contains materials concerned with Bud Osborn’s career as a social activist, a poet and a performer. Materials include newspaper clippings with handwritten notes on them, a manuscript, correspondence, ephemera, photographs, videocassette and audio cassettes.

Correspondence

Series consists of circulars, letters, telegram and memos received by F. G. Bell in his capacity as general manager of Brunswick Cannery. Correspondence is about government regulations; policy and procedures, and operational inquiries and directives received from the head office of B.C. Packers Association; and inquiries from suppliers. Circulars from the Fraser River Canners' Association may have been received by Mr. Bell as President of the Anglo American Canning Co.

Francis G. Bell family records

Series consists of records belonging to Francis Griffin Bell and Dorothy Bell. Mr. Bell was manager of the Brunswick Cannery, Canoe Pass, 1902-1927(?) for the B.C. Packers Association. Prior to working as manager for the Association, Francis G. Bell was president of the Anglo-American Canning Co., which was bought by the Association in 1902. His daughter, Dorothy Bell, worked as a reporter beginning in 1915 for the Eburne Gazette, later in 1922 accepting a position on the editorial staff of McLean's Magazine.

Alphabetically arranged including Prince Rupert Coast Mission. Includes some baptism, confirmation, marriage and burial records from various parishes.

Series consists of correspondence, reports and memoranda. Includes records relating to the appointment and resignation of the Registrar (1967-1988); a report of the weeding and rearrangement of Registrar's files (1975); appointment of diocesan Treasurer (1986); appointments and resignation to the office of the following Deaconesses: M. Steel (1951-1977), H. Hellaby (1952-1967), J.P. Prior (1959-1960), A. Crooks (1965-1976), J. M. Bradley (1966-1980).

Hadassah Blue Binders

Series contain the Hadassah Blue Binders, a series of scrapbooks covering the history of the Vancouver Hadassah-WIZO Chapters over the years of 1924 through to 2000. This project was initiated and carried out by Dora Skully, a member of the Royal City Chapter. She worked with Lisa Komar, Mary Katz, and Gerry Biely in gathering and compiling information on the people, events, and activities of Vancouver Hadassah-WIZO.
