The fonds consists of information correlated by the Archeology Branch of B.C. concerning sites along the Shuswap River from Mabel Lake to Ashton Creek. Includes one letter, photocopies of 5 maps, 8 pages describing individual archaeological sites, and 2 pages describing the Borden system of site identification.

Shuswap River Heritage Sites

Collection consists of photocopies of records relating to Enderby and District from the B.C. Provincial Archives, the Surveyor General's Office, and the Heritage Conservation Branch. Includes correspondence and reports concerning the establishment of the Spallumcheen First Nation reserve; correspondence and reports concerning land grants, district lots, roads and bridges, homesteaders, squatters, and the government policy towards land grants in the railway belt, plus lists of pre-emptions from township registers and district lots registers. Also includes copies of corresondence concerning the Columbia Flouring Mill (1908-1915), copies of pages from the B.C. Provincial Police diaries kept by Enderby constables(1939-1950), plus copies of the census records (1891, 1901) for the district. Maps of roads, towns, homesteads and district lots accompany some of the correspondence.

The collection consists of research materials and notes collected by Dorothy in the process of her research. Included is a summary and time line of the establishment of reserves, a bibliography, extracts from the McKenna-McBride Commision, 1913 (B.C. Archives), extracts of letters from the Department of Indian Affairs (National Archives of Canada), extracts from City of Enderby correspondence (Enderby and District Museum Archives), notes and extracts from a variety of publications, and copies of articles from Enderby and Vancouver newspapers.
