The recordings are interviews, conversations and reminiscences of people who worked with the Harbottle family and encompass a number of topics. The videocassette is a home recording of the first time the F6 Union engine was started up following it's restoration by Jeffery Harbottle.

The fonds consists of photographs, slides, negatives, maps, and textual records created and gathered by Gladys Young Blyth. These contain local scenes such as lighthouses, totem poles, Seafest activities, fish boats, crab traps, North Pacific Cannery, Kwinitsa Station, and the seaplane base at Seal Cove. The maps and sketches are of Kitselas, Port Essington, Union Passage and Tuwartz Inlet, Otter Passage to Bonilla Island, Work Channel, and a copy of the plan of the Kit-Kah-Tla Indian Reserves Coast District, 1891-1892. Her reference notes refer to the Hudson's Bay Company, First Nations, Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, the pictograph at Tyee, and the net building industry.

Fonds consists of textual, photographic, cartographic, electronic and promotional films/video recordings related to the mining operations of Cassiar Asbestos Mining Corporation (CAMC) and creation of Cassiar townsite. CAMC records primarily consist of records related to mining operations including construction, engineering, daily mining operations, administration of CAMC, tallies of extractions, labour and union activities, corporate events and visits by dignitaries. Townsite records are primarily visual representations of townsite construction, including the creation of health, education and community services including Cassiar's private hospital, school, library, as well as townsite images. Photographs include documentation of natural and man-made landscapes within the Cassiar region of Northern BC. Other holdings include a near complete run of Cassiar's community newspaper.

The Photographic Materials series consists of 6100 photographs, 900 slides and negatives documenting a wide variety of subject areas pertaining to both the operations of Cassiar Asbestos Corporation Ltd., and the company township of Cassiar, B.C. Types of subject areas found within this series include, but are not limited to: mine, plant, labour, and townsite operations at the company towns of Cassiar and Clinton Creek (including community activities associated therein and townsite development); construction of plant and mine buildings ; mines and equipment not owned by Cassiar Asbestos Corporation, but which are believed to have been used for operational research purposes ; aerial photographs ; company exploration of further mineral deposits outside of Cassiar ; official tours ; community images, promotional material ; executive portraits. The Photographic Materials series has been further subdivided into the following 4 subseries: Exploration & Development, Construction, General (Mining) Operations & (Townsite) Community Operations, and Corporate Affairs.

The fonds consists of textual records from business transactions at BC Packers Sunnyside Cannery between 1949 and 1976. These include receipts, coupon books from BC Packers Ltd., Nelson Bros. Fisheries Ltd., and J.H. Todd & Sons Ltd. Also includes packer sheets, fishermen's weekly statements, journal vouchers, invoices, forms, and correspondence of various fishermen at Sunnyside.

It includes personal and business correspondence, three nursing notebooks belonging to Marguerite Wood, certificates, ephemera and photographs of family, scenes in Prince Rupert such as fishing boats, the cold storage plant, 5th Avenue West and 2nd Avenue West in the 1920s, Rebekah Lodge members, Tsimpsian Lodge members, the 1930 graduating class of the Prince Rupert Hospital School of Nursing, Bill Smith and Bill Wilson-Murray of Northern B.C. Power. It also includes records and postcards from Margaret Maddrell, Bert Wood's sister, and her first husband, Thomas Clwydd Williams.

Most of the records originated with the Central Executive. The Apiculture (beekeeping) collection is an artificial grouping of documentary materials relating to the methods, science and culture of beekeeping. The collection was established by the SFU Archives as a complement to its other holdings relating to apiculture, such as the fonds of the British Columbia Honey Producers' Association (F-147), and the papers of SFU faculty member Mark Winston (F-174).

The collection consists of publications, conference proceedings, minutes, correspondence, photographs, and moving images. Material includes government publications, correspondence and registers of provincial beekeepers in British Columbia; published research articles, presentations and reports; course outlines and course material relating to the Bee Masters program and honey judging in British Columbia; photographs of various BC beekeeping activities and personalities; copies of meeting minutes and other records of various beekeeping associations in British Columbia and Canada; moving images featuring beekeeping activities and topics; and various subject files relating to the history of beekeeping in BC.
