The diary was found in the Wolf Creek area of the East Kootenay, north of Wasa Lake. The outside of the diary bears the initials "JEH". It was given to Dr. F.W. Green, who passed it to Dr. W.O. Green who passed it to his daughter Sally Diefenbach, who donated it.
