    Biographical history

John Dixon Honeyman (1915-1992) and Ruth (Fisher) Honeyman (1916- ) were residents of Delta, B.C. John Dixon (J.D. or Jack) was the son of Gordon Honeyman (1884-1950) and the grandson of John Honeyman (1845-1926). Ruth was the daughter of Alex Fisher and Fannie Fleck. John and Ruth had two children, Donna and Douglas. John's career was varied --he was a miner at the Britannia Mines in the 1940s, a farmer in East Delta, and was also involved in construction work in Delta. He was a member of the B.C. Milk Board from 1957 to 1980, a life member of the Delta Agricultural Society, Director and Chairman of the Board of the McKee Athletic Association of East Delta, and a member of the Delta Farmer's Institute and the Masonic Order. Ruth Honeyman was a school teacher in Delta until her marriage.
