Biographical history
The Kaatza Historical Society was established in 1975 and opened the Kaatza Station Museum at Lake Cowichan in 1983. The museum acquires artifacts, archival records and historical reference material (including newspapers) relating to the Cowichan Lake and Cowichan Valley areas from Nitinat in the west to Paldi in the east, including Lake Cowichan, Honeymoon Bay, Caycuse, Youbou, Mesachie Lake, and Gordon River.
