    Biographical history

Albert and Maud Frampton moved from England to Victoria BC in 1907. Among their seven children were Keith (1889-1979) and Cecil (1897-1990). From 1907 to 1909 Keith worked as a surveyor for Gore and McGregor, a Victoria firm, and made several survey expeditions. By 1936 he was living in England again. Cecil stayed in British Columbia and worked in the forest industry.

    Custodial history

    Scope and content

The fonds consists of Keith Frampton's diaries for surveys in the Alberni, Qualicum and Effingham Inlet areas, 1907 to 1909 and Cecil Frampton's photograph album with sketch map that records a hiking trip to Strathcona Park in 1936. The album also contains a newsclipping obituary dated 2003 and copy of a photograph that were apparently slipped into the front of the album ca. 2003.
