    Biographical history

    Ken Ellison was born in Vernon in 1926, son of Vernon Ellison and grandson of Price Ellison who was an early rancher, politician, and land owner. Ken attended school in the area, going on to the University of British Columbia to attain his B.Sc. in agriculture in 1949. Ken operated the family ranch and orchards in Oyama, B.C. from 1953 to the present day. His interests lie in the history of the North Okanagan and in 1988, he published 'Price Ellison, A Short History of an Okanagan Valley Pioneer'.
