    Biographical history

On April 23, 1951, Mrs. Ted Pauls and Mrs. Jack Irving arranged a meeting of Kinsmen wives and they agreed to form a club. The 1st officers were: President: Adeline Anderson; Vice President: Lavina Irving; Secretary: Rene All; Registrar: Pic Pauls; Committee Members: Joyce Mair, Sadie Hodges, Helen Grant and Betty Lincoln. The Kinettes is a social club, but have helped with the Kinsmen projects and participated in community activities. The Kinettes do not raise money themselves. If they work on a project the money goes to the Kinsmen. They have helped with blood donor clinics, turkey shoots, the polio fund and rummage sales. In 1959 the club changed from social to active and revised their by-laws. They were rechartered in 1988 and the club is still active. (1996)
