Administrative history
The Ladies Auxiliary of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150 was formed by twelve women on June 7, 1937. The purpose of the auxiliary was to foster goodness, freedom, and peace in the country as an organization built on the principle of service to others. The group contributed to hospitals, the Red Cross, and other Canandian Legion efforts, and raised funds for the Legion Branch Hall and Annex. They served the Bowen Island community in a variety of ways, including by helping seniors and people who were sick or in need. They also raised funds for scholarships and for the Annie Laurie Wood Memorial Library. The Ladies Auxiliary's final meeting took place on June 12, 1988 with two of the original members still on the membership rolls.
