The Treasury Services Section effectively manages highly cyclical cash flows ensuring adequate funds are available to fulfil the strategic plans and initiatives undertaken by the City. Additionally, all sources and inflows of revenues are identified and allocated to key capital projects. The Treasury Services Section works in collaboration with other service Sections within the Finance and Corporate Services Division to ensure the fiscal responsibility and stewardship of the City's assets.

Scope and content
Series consists of financial ledgers created in the course of accounting for various financial transactions of the Municipality. The majority of volumes in this series consist of general ledgers, however, series also includes a transfer ledger, subdivision ledger and agreements ledger. Transactions documented in these ledgers cover the full spectrum of Municipal functions, from accounts payable to fire fighting, and from garbage collection to Workmen's Compensation Board.

Physical condition
Volumes in this series are primarily in fair to good condition. In some case end pages have been ripped and torn through repeated use. Six of the twelve volumes have heavy, leather covered metal spines, several of which have some rust and oxidation
