Scope and content
Series consists of letters sent outward from the Engineering Department. Until 1911, correspondents include City Council, other City agencies, other governments, and the private sector. Letters sent to other City departments between 1911 and 1914 are located in the series of interdepartmental letterbooks (CRS 101), although they again become part of the letterbook series after this date. Letters sent to City Council and its committees from 1912 onward are located in the series of reports to Council and Committees (CRS 102).
