    Biographical history

    Mary Henderson was the wife of solicitor Hugh Henderson, who became Chairman of the Board of the Bastion Theatre Company in Victoria, B.C. in 1969. He remained a key Board figure and benefactor until his death in 1986. He had earlier been a Bastion Theatre School student (1965).

    Custodial history

    It is not known whether the volume came through one of the Hendersons' families, or if they purchased it.

    Scope and content

    The collection consists of clippings about the theatre from various publications, mostly London newspapers. Also included are 44 leaves of handwritten entries about plays attended (1884-1888). It is not known who compiled the volume.
