Biographical history
The E.H. Maxwell family came from Ireland to live in the Creston Valley in Erickson, B.C., from 1908 to 1910. The family started a farm at the site of the present Wayside Nursery. The farm was sold to the Craigie family. The Maxwells returned to Ireland.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of photographs depicting farming in Lister, Creston Valley roads in winter, Canyon Street in 1909, stump blasting, various members of the Craigie and Maxwell families, and scenes of activities of general life in Creston. The fonds also includes a letter (1911) to E.H. Maxwell documenting the sale of the Maxwell property.
