The fonds consists of minutes, correspondence, financial records, and architectural drawings.

The collection includes material relating to Alert Bay that was created or collected by Thomas and Mildred Laurie, as well as photographs and textual records created or received by James Barclay Williams, who bequeathed the records to Mildred Laurie. The collection includes a photo album, photographs, postcards, correspondence, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and a calendar. Photographs document Alert Bay and the surrounding area, including the B.C. Packers store, Christ Church, the native cemetery, St. Michael’s Residential School and Preventorium, Canada Packers, Hardy Bay, totem poles, a long house, and the Nimpkish Hotel. Photographs also document local events, including potlatches, weddings, an outdoor salmon barbeque, BC centenary celebrations in 1958, native ceremonies, and a visit by the Governor General.

Fonds consists of records relating to the Rev. Bob and Joan Burrows and of Joan’s parents, the Rev. Frank and Marguerite Fidler. Includes the following series: Frank and Marguerite Fidler correspondence and other material (1923-1995); Frank and Marguerite Fidler photographs (1928-1974); Bob Burrows research material and interviews (1962-2010); Joan Fidler Burrows church leadership and committee materials (1960-1984); Burrows family memorabilia (1961-1987); Burrows family photographs (1991); and Bob Burrows audio recordings (1961-1967).

Fonds consists of the following record series: Photographs ([1923?]-1935) and Reference materials (1972). Records relate to Japanese Methodist Church and United Church congregations at Ocean Falls. Also included is a memoir of Rev. Yoshimitsu Akagawa.
