The Richmond 2010 Olympic Oval Project Stakeholder/User Committee was established by Council in November 2004 and held its first meeting on March 1, 2005. The Committee was referred to by a number of names, including the "Richmond 2010 Stakeholder User Committee", the "Richmond 2010 Stakeholder User Group Advisory Committee" and the "Oval Stakeholder/User Committee." The Stakeholder/User Committee was established to seek input and information from interested groups to help determine the most suitable use for the Oval after the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The Committee was to provide information to the Oval Steering Committee and staff in order to ensure the business and financial implications were considered. The Committee was dissolved by resolution of closed Council on October 9, 2007, at the same time that a new "Richmond Oval Community Stakeholder Advisory Committee" was established.
