Administrative history

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150 was established in 1936 on Bowen Island as a local branch of what was then known as the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League. In the 1960s, RCL Branch 150 built a Legion Hall, which became the social center of the island for the next twenty years. Currently, the Legion hall offers community suppers, hosts a Remembrance celebration, maintains the family assistance fund, hosts veterans groups, contributes to the Memorial Garden, and maintains the Cenotaph.
