Administrative history
The South Canoe and Larch Hills Auxiliary of the Red Cross was formed in 1939. The group disbanded in April, 1946 as the Red Cross and became the Womens Institute.

The fonds is arranged into five series and consists of minutes, reports, receipts, correspondence and ephemera. The fonds gives a picture of war relief activities of the local Red Cross, and the names of the people who worked to that end.
