Biographical history
The Strawberry Hill Farmers' Institute was founded in 1909 in the Strawberry Hill area of Surrey, B.C., to support local farmers and to erect an Institute Hall. In 1910, the Institute was formally established as a Farmers' Institute. In 1911, the Strawberry Hill Farmers' Institute joined the B.C. Poultry Association. In 1922 the Strawberry Hill Poultry Association was formed for the purpose of cooperative feed buying. The Strawberry Hill Local of the B.C. Egg and Poultry Pool was established in 1928. In 1929, the Strawberry Hill Farmers' Institute and the local Egg and Poultry Pool amalgamated.

The fonds consists of minutes, bylaws, resolutions, annual reports, membership lists, financial records, legal documents, correspondence, literary productions and reference material of the Strawberry Hill Farmers' Institute. The fonds also contains the minutes, membership lists, correspondence, resolutions and legal documents of the Strawberry Hill Local of the B.C. Egg and Poultry Pool and the minutes, correspondence and receipts of the Strawberry Hill Poultry Association.
