Susan Lindenberger was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and came to Vancouver in 1974. Prior to immigrating to Canada, she worked in campus ministry and as Education Director within the Presbyterian Church. Lindenberger served as Staff Associate at Ryerson United Church, Vancouver (1976-1980); St. Andrew's United Church, North Vancouver (1985-1988); and Dunbar Heights United Church, Vancouver (1988-1994). She also worked on many significant committees and working groups over a 25-year period, including: the BC Conference Children's Section, the National Committee for Theological Education for Ministry, BC Conference Interview Board, National Division of Mission in Canada, BC Conference Women in Ministry Committee, and BC Conference Task Force on Native Residential Schools. She served as President of BC Conference from 2002 to 2003. Lindenberger has also been a sessional lecturer and workshop leader at the Vancouver School of Theology in the areas of Christian Education, Biblical archaeology, pastoral liturgy, inclusive language, and intergenerational worship.
