        Jack Wilson (1883-1979) was born in Ireland and moved to Powell River in 1911. He worked for the Powell River Company as a carpenter and from 1924-1958 he was the skipper of the Powell River Company boat the Playaday, taking Company visitors up to Rainbow Lodge on Powell Lake.
