Biographical history
The Quesnel and District Museum was established in 1963, although active collections of artifacts and archives date from 1951, when the Cariboo Historical Society, Quesnel Branch was incorporated. The society was committed to acquiring and preserving the early history of the Cariboo and its collections formed the foundation of the museum's holdings. In 1995, the museum was renamed the Quesnel and District Museum and Archives.

The fonds consists of 152 b/w and 143 colour photographs of museum staff, displays, events and volunteers; scrapbooks containing articles pertaining to museum news, events, volunteers, etc.; research material; museum history in booklet form; 1 CD containing images of staff and volunteers, events, etc.; staff day timers; and loose leaf guest register sheets signed by Quesnel residents during the Millennium year 2000.
